We are a 5 minute walk from the bus station.  Follow the map on this website or you can take a taxi for about 25 shekels.

We provide sheets, blankets, pillows and towels for free.

We have free internet in all the rooms

Check-in is at 12:00. If you arrive early you can store your luggage and come back later. Check-in no later than 22:00.

You have to vacate your room at 10:00 but you can store your luggage and come back, sit around, and take a shower until you leave town. 

We are not serving breakfast at this time

We do not serve meals but have a fully equipped kitchen including gas stove and refrigerator for the use of our guests and there’s a supermarket 2 minutes away.

We lock the front gate at midnight so that people who are sleeping aren’t disturbed by others coming in late.

There is a designated smoking area outside the front of the hostel.Drugs are not allowed on the property.

All our dorms are single-sex. Families and married couples can book a private room. 

We have a safe in our office for your valuables and a locked shack for bags of those who sleep outside or go away for a couple of days.

You can safely and freely park your car on streets in the neighborhood

Payment is only in cash, but there are ATM’s and banks close by.

The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk. The snorkeling and diving beaches are a 10 minute drive and are also accessible by the local bus.

Most of our guests either take a bus from ben gurion airport to Tel Aviv and then a direct bus to Eilat (5 hours) or else the train from the airport to Beer Sheva and from there a bus. Two airline companies also fly from Tel Aviv to Eilat.

If you are arriving in Ramon airport, Eilat then bus number 30 runs every 20-30 minutes and takes 20 minutes to the central bus station.

We can explain to you how to travel to Petra either independently or with an organized tour.

Every morning at 8:30 we have a time of singing and Bible study in the Shelter’s succah for an hour. On Friday evening we have an international gospel meeting followed by a free meal for Shelter guests, local Eilati’s and others. Furthermore, we have other spontaneous community gatherings.

We seek to live by the values as we understand them from the Old and New Testaments. Guests from all religions, backgrounds, and countries are welcome to stay with us. We respect others' worldviews and expect to have ours respected also.

Some rooms have air conditioners and other use desert coolers, a system designed for dry climates. It doesn’t get the rooms as cold as air conditioners, but it’s healthier and better for the environment.

Most Israelis speak English well, though as in most countries, they’ll be happy to hear you speaking a few words of Hebrew.
